(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Anbar Operations Command announced Thursday repelling an ISIS attack by five booby-trapped vehicles followed by another attack on the security forces stationed in the northern axis of the city of Ramadi,.

The commander of the Anbar Operations Maj. Gen. Ismail Mahlawi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The international coalition aviatio, with the participation of the Iraqi army, was able to repel an ISIS attack by five booby-trapped vehicles driven by suicide bombers in the regions of al-Hamidiya and Albu Itha northeast of Ramadi,” noting that “The ISIS tried to open a gap for its elements.”

Mahlawi added that “The suicide attack was followed by another attack by ISIS elements in the northern axis,” indicating that “The clashes between the two sides led to the death and injury of dozens of members of the organization.”
