(IraqiNews.com) BAGHDAD- Iraqi Ministerial Council for National Security on Saturday held an emergency meeting headed by General Commander of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. The meeting was held to discuss the situation in Turkey and it stressed upon Iraq’s commitment to the fundamentals of being Turkey’s one of the good neighbors and non-interference in the internal affairs.

Information Office of the Prime Minister in a statement, said, “The Ministerial National Security Council held an emergency meeting chaired by the General Commander of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, to discuss the situation in Turkey.”

“The Council stressed his respect for constitutional institutions of any country, including that of neighbor Turkey and respect the will of its citizens and their rights. He further stressed on Iraq’s commitment to the fundamentals of good neighborliness and to ensure good relations with Turkey and non-interference in the internal affairs,” the statement further added.
