Iraqi professor wins 1st prize in international contest

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The professor, Ammar Salim, of the Engineering College within Baghdad University won the first prize in a drawing contest that was organized by the Austrian website (International Art Contest).The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”The Iraqi professor won the first prize among more than 130 artists from around the world for his painting (My Childhood Street) which expresses the ancient buildings in Baghdad.””The aim of the Iraqi participation is to reflect the spirit of the art acts that represent the archeological identity of Baghdad,” the statement added. \
