3 ISIS elements killed, 8 arrested in military operation south of Samarra Island

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The 17th Brigade of the Iraqi army announced on Sunday the killing of three members of ISIS and the arrest of eight others in a military operation south of Samarra Island.
The commander of the brigade, Brigadier Moad Baday Faraj, said in an interview for Iraqi News.com: “The security forces have carried out today a military operation in Samarra Island and managed to kill three ISIS members and destroy their shelter.”
Faraj added that those forces “also managed to arrest eight elements of ISIS during the operation.”
