London (IraqiNews.com) – Ameen Al-Dakhil, an Iraqi-Belgian professional football player, just joined Burnley Football Club.

The transfer transaction is reportedly for roughly 5 million euros, according to Lancs Live. Burnley will make this their first acquisition of the winter transfer window.

Al-Dakhil, 20, is joining from Limburg, Belgium’s Sint-Truiden Football Club, a Belgian professional football team. Al-Dakhil, who often plays at center defense, has appeared 16 times for Sint-Truiden in the Belgian Pro League so far this year.

Al-Dakhil expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome to Burnley on his Instagram page. “I am delighted to be starting this new adventure with the Clarets. I am really looking forward to discovering a new league, a new city and a new country,” said Al-Dakhil.

Burnley Football Club, an English association football team based in Burnley, Lancashire, participates in the EFL Championship after being demoted from the Premier League in 2021–2022. The squad is managed by Vincent Kompany.

Al-Dakhil was born in Iraq and migrated to Belgium with his family when he was five years old.
