 Al-Halbousi offers condolences to UAE President for death of Sheikh Tahnoun Al Nahyan

The leader of the Progress Party, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, and the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Talabani, offering condolences to the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the death of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The leader of the Progress Party, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, offered his condolences to the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the death of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.

Al-Halbousi was accompanied by the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Talabani.

The late Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, who died on Wednesday, was the representative of the Abu Dhabi Ruler in the Al Ain Region.

Sheikh Tahnoun served as Vice Chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The road connecting Dubai and Al Ain was officially named in his honor in November 2018.

Sheikh Tahnoun’s sister, Sheikha Hessa, married Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, making Sheikh Tahnoun his brother-in-law.

The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was a personal friend of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, who learned many things from the founding father.

As the Ruler’s Representative for the Eastern Region (now Al Ain), Sheikh Tahnoun had extensive knowledge of Al Ain and its inhabitants.
