Al-Sudani, Barzani discuss fiscal dispute between Baghdad and the KRG
Iraq’s Prime Minister, Mohammed Al-Sudani, with Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of Iraq’s KRG, in Baghdad.
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – In the Iraq’s capital, Iraq’s Prime Minister, Mohammed Al-Sudani, met with Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of Iraq’s Kurdistan Regional Government.
Al-Sudani and Barzani discussed the fiscal disagreement between Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Both emphasized the seriousness of the administration in seeking out alternative ways to deal with Iraq’s Kurdistan Region and confirmed that the present government’s strategy embraces the premise of trying to achieve long-term stability free from conflicts.
In an effort to persuade Iraq’s federal government to provide additional funding to Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Barzani also met with the President of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid.
Iraq’s KRG’s Deputy Prime Minister, Qubad Talabani, was also present in the meetings.
