Baghdad discusses software development with Germany’s SAP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, discussed on Sunday cooperation with SAP’s Regional President for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Emmanuel Raptopoulos, and his accompanying delegation.
Both sides met in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on the sidelines of their participation in the World Economic Forum, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
SAP’s delegation reviewed its expertise around the world, as the company is the largest in the world in terms of fusing government economic ambitions with information technology.
The Iraqi Prime Minister indicated that collaboration with the German corporation may be possible through a cooperative work program, which would make use of the company’s services for digitizing the economy, which would promote innovation and better investment direction.
Al-Sudani also discussed how the government hopes to use SAP’s services by including this kind of software in the training programs for institutional software and the curricula of specialized universities.
Raptopoulos stated that the corporation is willing to work with the Iraqi government in the technical domain to achieve its goals of having an economy that keeps up with global technological advancements.
