Bear escapes from its crate during an Iraqi Airways flight
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – A bear recently escaped from the cargo of an Iraqi Airways jet, delaying its flight from Baghdad to Dubai. Iraq’s national airline apologized to passengers on the trip for transporting the bear.
The bear had to be sedated and removed from the airplane upon landing at Dubai International Airport. This resulted in a delay for the trip back from the United Arab Emirates to Iraq.
The bear was being transported lawfully and in accordance with international laws, according to a statement from Iraqi Airways.
The statement went on to say that the bear’s escape from the container did not result in any damage or injuries.
