Founder of Iraq’s elryan.com killed in Erbil by deadly Iran attacks

Karam Saridar, Founder and CEO of elryan.com, was killed from the Iran attacks in Erbil.

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi businessman and entrepreneur Karam Saridar, also known as Karam Mikhail, was tragically murdered in an Iranian strike on Iraqi Kurdish businessman Peshraw Dizayee’s residence in Erbil, Iraq.

Born in the United Kingdom in 1986, Saridar founded the electronics e-commerce site Elryan.com in 2014, which since then has become one of the most popular websites in Iraq for buying electronics. In addition, Saridar was an owner and CEO of Manahil El Ryan, which is the official distributor of Samsung Electronics and Sony in Iraq.

Saridar, who was well-known for his entrepreneurial energy, assisted in directing Iraqi entrepreneurs in the startup scenes in Erbil and Baghdad. Saridar was on the Board of Directors of Five One Labs, a startup incubator that supports talented entrepreneurs in Iraq.

The attack of Iran on the city of Erbil was denounced by the Iraqi government on the grounds that it violates Iraq’s sovereignty and the security of its citizens.

Survived by his wife, daughter, family, and friends, Saridar is fondly remembered by those who knew him.
