Gulf-Iraq Business Forum to take place in the UAE in September

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Emirate of Sharjah is preparing to hold the first-ever Gulf-Iraq Business Forum on September 26th and 27th.

The event is being hosted under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

The Federation of GCC Chambers is organizing this event in collaboration with the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

According to a press statement, Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Vice Chairman of FCCI and Chairman of SCCI, emphasized that the Forum’s major goal is to explore and develop investment potential from both areas, with the goal of establishing strong economic relations between Gulf and Iraqi businesses.

Iraq’s relations with the GCC have strengthened in recent years. In July 2023, a Gulf mission led by GCC Secretary General Jassim Al Budaiwi visited Baghdad, Iraq.
