 Iraq actively contributed to Syria’s return to the Arab League

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, stressed on Thursday that Iraq actively contributed to Syria’s return to its seat in the Arab League, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.

“Iraq, since Syria’s suspension from the Arab League, has been committed to Syria returning to its seat and exercising its important role in joint Arab action,” Hussein explained.

The Iraqi Foreign Minister stressed that Iraq contributed effectively to Syria’s return to its seat in the Arab League.

“Syria’s return to its seat contributes to stability in both Syria and its neighboring countries,” Hussein elaborated.

The Foreign Minister pointed out that an Arab team will continue communicating with Syria to reach stability and complete the reconstruction process.

Hussein revealed that the most important topics on the agenda of the upcoming Arab summit are the regional challenges and crises, including the situation in Sudan, the Palestinian cause, the economic challenges facing Arab countries, and the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Regarding the Iraqi role in restoring the Saudi-Iranian relations, Hussein clarified that Iraq contributed to preparing this agreement in Baghdad.

The Iraqi minister added that Syria’s return to its seat in the Arab League will strengthen regional security.
