 Iraq aims to sustain oil production, flared gas utilization

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, confirmed on Tuesday that the ministry aims to sustain the production and export of crude oil, utilize flared gas, and maximize the strategic reserve of petroleum products.

Abdul-Ghani’s remarks took place during a visit he paid to the ministry’s technical department, where he emphasized that the Iraqi Oil Ministry is working according to a vision aiming to sustain and increase the country’s production of crude oil, petroleum products, and gas, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

The Iraqi Oil Minister explained that the ministry’s strategy aims to meet the needs of local consumption, maximize reserves of petroleum products, and maintain oil export rates to global markets.

Abdul-Ghani pointed out the significance of cooperation between various divisions in the Oil Ministry as well as the efforts of relevant authorities to enhance performance and accomplish the ministry’s objectives.

The Minister of Oil also emphasized the ministry’s eagerness to support the public and private sectors by providing the fuels needed to keep the industrial and agricultural sectors operating and satisfying their demands.
