 Iraq inaugurates the Samawah gas depot project

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Samawah gas depot project in Al-Muthanna Governorate was officially opened by Undersecretary for Gas Affairs Izzat Saber Ismail under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani.

The Samawah gas depot aims to satisfy the governorate’s needs for a significant amount of liquid gas in terms of storage and consumption.

Ismail stated that the Samawa gas depot project is one of the newest projects that adopts current technology and ways of security.

Furthermore, Ismail emphasized that the ministry is eager to enhance the services offered to residents and strive to upgrade oil and gas infrastructure, and that the execution of several potential projects would take place in the upcoming stage.

Anmar Ali Hussein, general manager of the Gas Filling and Services Company, stated that the Samawah warehouse has a consumption capacity of between 120 and 140 tons and has seven factories, including two public and five private ones, that are ready to fill liquid gas cylinders.

Hussein continued by stating that the warehouse’s activities include receiving, cleaning, storage, and loading operations, and that these firms have a daily output capacity of 13,000 cylinders.
