Iraq launches road projects to improve traffic jams in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraq’s Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and Bangen Rekani, the Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities, and Public Works, met on the construction site to start the work on three road projects meant to lessen traffic jams in Baghdad.

The road projects include the construction of a bridge connecting Palestine Street and Al-Dakhl Street east of Baghdad. At the same time, work on two other projects —a bridge connecting the Jamila neighborhood and the extension of Al-Jihad Street to Bab Al-Moazem via the Army Canal and a bridge connecting the intersection of Al-Quds with Street 77— began.
