Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – In the opening quarterfinal match of the King Salman Cup for Arab Clubs 2023 on Saturday, Iraqi football club Al-Shorta earned a spot in the tournament’s semifinals. As a result, the Iraqi football club will take on Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia and superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Al-Shorta defeated Al-Sadd of Qatar 4-2 in the quarterfinals, which were played at Abha, Saudi Arabia, to advance to the semifinals. Al-Nassr defeated Moroccan Raja Casablanca 3-1 to go to the semifinals of the Arab Club Champions Cup under the leadership of Cristiano Ronaldo.

On Wednesday, Al-Nassr and Al-Shorta will square off in the semifinals.

Al-Shorta is a football team that competes in the Iraqi Premier League and is situated in Rusafa, Baghdad. The team’s current manager is led by Ahmed Salah Alwan.
