Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi fighter Amir Albazi defeated promotional UFC rookie Alessandro Costa by TKO for the first time in seven years. The UFC Fight Night 216 matchup took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With three finishes in four victories, 29-year-old Albazi competes in the UFC’s Flyweight class and has never suffered a defeat in the UFC.
Albazi, who was forced to escape Iraq two decades ago, uses his experience to construct a better future. His family traveled from nation to nation, including Syria and Sweden, before settling in the United Kingdom.
