 Iraqi FM calls on British, European agencies to review travel advice

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, called on the British and European government agencies to review travel advice on their websites, according to a statement issued by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

Hussein’s remarks took place during a symposium held by the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce in London, where participants included many representatives of British companies in addition to representatives of the British government and diplomats in the UK.

The Iraqi Foreign Minister indicated the remarkable improvement in the security situation, which provides a suitable and encouraging environment for foreign companies to operate in Iraq, according to the statement.

The statement explained that Hussein talked about investment opportunities in Iraq and the challenges facing the Iraqi government.

The Iraqi minister also spoke about the current government’s program and its attempts to diversify sources of income, adding that the government is determined to reach a diversified economy while taking into account the need to find solutions to the effects of climate change.
