 Iraqi FM discusses bilateral ties in Canada

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, discussed on Monday bilateral ties with the Canadian Minister of National Defense, Bill Blair.

Hussein reviewed the role of the Global Coalition and the NATO mission in assisting Iraq in its fight against terrorism, expressing gratitude to Canada for its efforts in aiding Iraq in its fight against ISIS groups, according to a statement released by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

The two parties emphasized the significance of enhancing collaborative relations between Iraq and Canada on several fronts.

The meeting also covered regional events and the impact of the ongoing war in Gaza on stability and security in the region.

Hussein arrived in Canada on an official visit on Sunday to open new horizons for communication with Canada.

Hussein stated that the purpose of the visit is to improve relations with the Iraqi community in Canada.

The Iraqi Foreign Minister highlighted that Iraq’s consulate in Toronto would open soon, offering the community the finest consular services possible.
