 Iraqi leaders extend condolence to Iraqi Foreign Minister on loss of his wife

The Iraqi President, Abdul Latif Rashid, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and the President of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, offering condolences to the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, for the death of his wife.

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – On Monday, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and Kurdistan Regional Government President Nechirvan Barzani convened to express their condolences to Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein following the passing of his wife.

In a statement issued by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, the trio of Iraqi leaders extended their heartfelt condolences and prayers, urging strength and comfort from God for Minister Fuad Hussein and his family during this difficult time.

The Iraqi Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for the condolences offered by the Iraqi leaders, asking God to protect Iraq and its people and to keep everyone safe.

Hussein expressed his great gratitude for this honorable visit.

Foreign ministers of neighboring countries, including Iran and the UAE, also offered condolences to the Iraqi Foreign Minister for the loss of his wife.

Hussein’s wife, Carolina Montessori, passed away unexpectedly on April 7.

“Carolina was a remarkable individual whose warmth, kindness, and grace touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her,” the Washington Kurdish Institute mentioned in a statement, noting that her contributions to the Kurdish nation, especially in the education field, will be remembered fondly by all.
