 Iraqi PM chairs Supreme Armament Committee’s meeting

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, chaired on Monday the second meeting of the Supreme Armament Committee.

The meeting focused on strategies to enhance the capabilities of the Iraqi armed forces’ branches in terms of armament and military equipment provisioning capacities, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

Within the framework of advancing the government’s strategy aimed at empowering and developing the capabilities of the Iraqi armed forces and security forces in general, the meeting also addressed the most significant steps taken to support the combat and field capabilities of the Iraqi armed forces.

The Iraqi Prime Minister emphasized the importance of diversifying weaponry sources and increasing technical efficiency in different units.

Al-Sudani emphasized the value of military training and development as well as the provision of the best supplies and equipment to the Iraqi armed forces so that they can meet security challenges and threats of any kind.
