Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, discussed strategies to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and the Netherlands with the Dutch Ambassador to Iraq, Hans Sandee.

A statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) mentioned that Al-Sudani indicated Iraq’s openness to partnerships in different fields, particularly the activation of the joint water council between the two countries, in addition to the importance of the Netherlands taking command of the NATO Mission in Iraq (NMI) in mid-May.

The Iraqi Prime Minister renewed Iraq’s vision in terms of ending the mission of the international coalition to combat ISIS in the next stage and moving towards bilateral security and military cooperation.

The Dutch Ambassador to Iraq conveyed the Dutch government’s desire to enhance collaboration, indicating the positive relations between the Netherlands and Iraq as well as the interest of Dutch companies in taking part in Iraqi development initiatives and infrastructure repair.
