Iraqi PM meets family of aid worker killed by ISIS terrorists

Washington (IraqiNews.com) – On the sidelines of his official visit to the United States, Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met the loved ones of American citizen Kayla Mueller.

Mueller tragically died in 2015 after being abducted by ISIS terrorist gangs in Aleppo, Syria in 2013 while she was working for humanitarian relief aid groups.

Given that Iraq has extensive experience combating terrorism and is aware of the terrorist organizations and remnants affiliated with ISIS gangs, the victim’s family wrote a letter to the Prime Minister of Iraq pleading with the government to support them in their investigation so that their daughter’s remains could be located and returned to her native United States.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s office stated that Al-Sudani sent his sincere condolences to the victim’s family and emphasized that the capable security services would launch an inquiry to gather any data that might help identify the victim’s remains.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister of Iraq declared that terrorism has attacked all Iraqis, regardless of their race, creed, or ethnicity, and that in the end, it is the blood of the victims that wins since terrorism was destroyed in Iraq thanks to the sacrifices and blood of its people.
