Iraqi PM, Siemens Energy CEO meet in Munich

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – During the Munich Security Conference, Christian Bruch, CEO of the German energy company Siemens Energy, was welcomed by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Al-Sudani at his residence in Munich, Germany.

The meeting looked into the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that Siemens Energy and the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity signed in January. The agreement intends to install new generation stations and carry out long-term maintenance work in order to create an integrated strategy for the energy system in Iraq.

According to a statement provided by the Prime Minister’s office, Al-Sudani stressed how important it was for Iraq to work with Siemens Energy and take use of its wealth of knowledge in the electrical industry.
