Majid Al Mohandis, Ahlam perform during Gulf Cup half-time
Basra (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi superstar artist Majid Al Mohandis and the famous Emirati singer, Ahlam, performed during the half-time of the Gulf Cup final held in Basra, Iraq.
Al-Mohandis sung the Iraqi national song “Mawtani” with tears and genuine patriotic sentiments, amid enormous interaction by Iraqi fans, who were chanting the anthem with great delight and affection.
Al-Mohandis expressed his gratitude and pride in the success of holding the Arabian Gulf Cup competition in his country, Iraq, and addressed a message of thanks to his fans in his beloved country, saying: “My family and people in beloved Iraq have never disappointed me. Thank you, the size of the sky. To everyone who contributed to this great work.”
Furthermore, a video footage shows Al-Mohandis kissing the Iraqi land as he stepped off the plane at Basra Airport.
Ahlam published several videos and photos on her Twitter account, expressing her great happiness with this first visit, and Ahlam began her concert at Basra Stadium with a message of love addressed to the Iraqi people, saying: “From the daughter of the Emirates, the daughter of Zayed came to my dear people of Iraq. I love you and that God willing, happiness will always be your ally.”
