 Oil Ministry to supervise fuel supply of 25th Gulf Cup guests’ vehicles

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced on Sunday it completed the rehabilitation of gas stations in Basra, and noted that specialized committees will supervise the provision and processing of fuel for the vehicles of the guests of the 25th Gulf Cup, according to a statement cited by the state news agency (INA).

The Director General of the Petroleum Products Distribution Company, Hussein Talib, mentioned in a statement that the Iraqi Oil Ministry completed the rehabilitation and development of gas stations in Basra governorate, and provided different types of fuel, to offer the best services to the guests of the 25th Gulf Cup that will be held in Basra.

Talib explained that the government supports Basra governorate and the organizing committee of the 25th Gulf Cup, and aims to provide integrated services to the audience of the tournament.

Talib elaborated that specialized committees and inspection committees from the Petroleum Products Distribution Company supervise the provision of petroleum products, fuel and services at all gas stations, in order to achieve a high flow in the process of supplying visitors and guests with fuel.

The 25th version of the Arabian Gulf Cup is scheduled to be held between January 6 and January 19, 2023, in the Al-Menaa Olympic Stadium and Basra International Stadium in the city of Basra in southern Iraq.

The tournament will be held with the participation of eight teams divided into two groups.

The first group includes Iraq, Oman, Yemen and Saudi Arabia, while the second group includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE.
