 Over 28 Saudi firms go on a business trip to Basra

Basra (IraqiNews.com) – A meeting was conducted in Basra by the Saudi Exports Development Authority’s “Made in Saudi” business delegation to Iraq.

Over 28 Saudi firms and 130 Iraqi corporations from a variety of industries, mostly building materials, chemicals and polymers, energy, and packaging, participated in the business mission to Basra.

The initiative included talks on fresh possibilities for collaboration between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, as well as meetings, agreements, and memorandums of understanding between the Saudi and Iraqi sides.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports to Iraq totaled $3.95 billion between 2018 and 2022. The construction materials industry led the list of exporting industries during that time with an estimated value of $1.18 billion, followed by the food product sector with $1.08 billion.
