Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Spanish football club FC Barcelona announced on Tuesday that it had signed a three-year contract with the 16-year-old Iraqi-German footballer Noah Darwish.

The Iraqi-German Under-17 European champion Noah Darwish from SC Freiburg received a three-year contract with FC Barcelona until June 30, 2026.

Media outlets revealed that the value of the deal is 2.5 million euros, which could reach nearly 10 million if the young man continued to play with FC Barcelona’s first team.

The penalty clause in the Iraqi-German player’s contract with Barcelona is one billion euros.

Although Darwish is still a young player, he was chosen by FC Barcelona because of his distinguished talent as a midfielder and winger.

Darwish was born on September 25, 2006, to an Iraqi father and a French mother, and the family holds German citizenship.

The young Iraqi player underwent a medical examination on Tuesday before he took traditional pictures in the Barcelona shirt.
