Shell Middle East selects GB Auto as macro distributor in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Shell Markets Middle East Ltd (Shell) has appointed GB Auto Iraq as the exclusive distributor of its Automotive Lubricants in central and southern Iraq.
In accordance with the contract, Shell will provide GB Auto with high-quality lubrication solutions and products under the brand, including Shell Helix, Shell Rimula, Shell Spirax, and Shell Gadus for end users.
“Our collaboration with GB Auto started 15 years ago in Egypt and today, we are proud to continue building this relationship as we look to expand our value proposition in Iraq,” said Haytham Yehia, General Manager of Shell Middle East & Central Asia.
Iraq’s constantly rising industrial activity and nation’s expanding economy have both contributed to the need for lubricants in recent years. The need for lubricants utilized in numerous industries including transportation, manufacturing, and construction is anticipated to increase as the nation continues to develop and upgrade its infrastructure.

By 2026, the lubricants market in Iraq is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.73 percent, according to a research by Research and Markets.
