 UAE’s Minister of State visits Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Emirati Minister of State, Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, arrived in Baghdad on Tuesday to chair his country’s delegation in the meeting of the Iraqi-Emirati Joint Committee.

“I welcomed in Baghdad the Emirati Minister of State, Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, and we opened the 10th session of the Iraqi-Emirati Joint Committee,” Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said via X, formerly Twitter.

“We stressed the need to strengthen our bilateral relations and mutual coordination between our governmental and private sectors,” Hussein stated.

The Iraqi Foreign Minister also explained that both sides will move forward in confronting common challenges, including climate change and food security in the world and the region.

Al Marar and his accompanying delegation were received earlier on Tuesday by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Al-Alawi.

Al-Alawi mentioned that the visit provides an opportunity to discuss ways to expand bilateral cooperation in various fields.
