Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – A video from March 2020 resurfaced showing two American veterans in Oakland, California who confronted and expressed anger over US President Joe Biden’s support for the Iraq war in 2003 and his continued opposition to fully ending the decades-long wars. The veterans emphasized that President Biden should be disqualified from the president due to his bad decisions.

In a video posted by About Face: Veterans Against War, Michael Thurman, an Air Force Veteran, asks Biden: “Why should we vote for someone who voted for a war that killed thousands of our brothers and sisters and countless Iraqi civilians?”

Biden answered by citing his son’s death before turning his back on the American soldiers and walking away.

According to Iraq Body Count, a non-profit group, over 200,000 violent Iraqi deaths have occurred since the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.
