Girl arrested at Kuala Lumpur Airport for marrying ISIS element via “Skype”

(IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, Malaysian authorities announced that a girl was arrested at Kuala Lumpur Airport for getting married to a Moroccan ISIS member via Skype.

CNN quoted the authorities as saying in a statement, “A 27 year-old university girl was arrested on January 24, 2014,” indicating that, “She had been tricked out to join the ISIS organization after watching a video on YouTube.”

Malaysian authorities added, “The girl interacted with the organization through the social networking site Facebook,” pointing out, “She was invited to join the terrorist organization in Syria.”

The statement did not mention if the girl was heading to Syria when detained at the airport.

Meanwhile, the authorities said, “Also, a Malaysian young man, aged 22, joined the organization through social media as well.”
