(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan asserted on Thursday, that his country will not apologize to Moscow for shooting down the Russian aircraft, calling Moscow to apologize for “violation” of Turkey’s airspace.

Erdogan stated in an interview with “CNN” followed by IraqiNews.com , “The Russian aircrafts had violated the Turkish airspace near the border with Syria,” adding that “Those who have violated our airspace must apologize,” pointing out that “The Turkish Air Force carried out its duty to respond to the violation in accordance with the rules of engagement, and I think that is the essence of what happened.”

“If Mr. Putin says that we are cooperating with the ISIS, I think that it is a big mistake because we do exactly the opposite,” Erdogan said.
