Bayati: Parliament to buy personal weapons for MPs’ guards

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Security and Defense Parliamentary Committee announced that the parliament intends to buy personal weapons for MPs’ guards.

MP, Abbas al-Bayati, stated to IraqiNews.com “MPs have the desire to buy weapons for their guards because the Ministries of Defense and Interior rejected to supply them with weapons.”

“The Security and Defense Parliamentary Committee held a meeting to review the offers presented to the parliament,” noting that “The prices of the weapons is between 400 to 600 according to the types of the weapon.”
