Esawi stresses releasing his detained guards urgently

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Finance, Rafi al-Esawi, of the Iraqiya Slate stressed the necessity of releasing his detained guards and to solve this case urgently.

A statement by Esawi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Esawi received the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoshyar Zebari, at his office in Baghdad on Sunday, noting that “Both sides discussed the case of arresting Esawi’s guards by the security forces on last Thursday.”

“Esawi assured the importance of settling this issue soon to avoid new political crisis that has critical negative consequences on Iraqis,” the statement concluded.
