Hakim, Maliki stress necessity of continuing dialogue among blocs
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, stressed the necessity of the continuity of the dialogue among the political blocs.
A statement by Hakim’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday “Hakim met Maliki where they stressed the necessity of conducting the dialogue among the political blocs to settle the current disputes by the constitution and avoiding the media escalation.”
“The two sides the crucial political issues and the obstacles that hinder the political process in addition to consolidating the role of Iraq in settling the regional crises,” the statement added.
“The two sides have also discussed the future alliances between the political blocs to participate in the next local elections in addition to the common views between the two sides,” the statement concluded.
