Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, MP, Azad Abu Bakir, of the Kurdistani Alliance confirmed that Kurdistan Region rejects reducing its share of the Federal Budget of 2013 and does not want to increase it till conducting the general census in Iraq.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “The tendency to decrease KR’s share of the Federal Budget is not constitutional or legal till conducting the general census because we want to keep our share as in the former years 17% according to the previous agreements.”

“Among the problems that hinder the endorsement of the budget law is the dues of the foreign oil companies working in KR and we are working on involving them in the budget law,” he added.

“KR receives only 10% of its share after taking the sovereign expenses from the 17% which is its total share,” he concluded.
