Kurdish independence is not for Maliki to decide says MP Kiyani

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mohammed Kiyani of the Kurdish Change bloc stated that the independence of the Kurds from Iraq is not related to the decision of the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki.

Speaking to IraqiNews.com, he said “The Kurds’ right for self-determination is not related to Maliki but to the Kurds,” noting that “The peaceful co-existence among the constituents of the Iraqi society is the reason behind the existence of the Kurds within this society.”
