Maliki, Salih discuss political updates

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Vice-President, Nouri al-Maliki, received the Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barham Salih, at his office in Baghdad on Tuesday.

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “They discussed the political and security updates and the efforts exerted to overcome the current crisis in Iraq and Region.”

“Both sides stressed the necessity of supporting the political process and continuous contacts among the political blocs to unify stances,” the statement concluded. /End/
