Marabi: Federal Court’s decision over correcting local elections law, important step to formation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussein al-Marabi, of the Fadhila bloc stated “The decision of the Federal Court over correcting the local elections law draft is an important step to the formation and expanding the contribution of the political process.”

He stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday “The decision of the Federal Court over the violation of an article within the local elections law draft to the constitution is an important step to the political reformation and to contribute the participation in the political process.”

“This decision will stop the negligence to the votes of the citizens that was followed in the former law and it will also encourage the citizens to participate in the next elections to preserve its rights and get the freedom in electing the persons they want,” he concluded.
