Nusayif accuses Kuwait of interfering in appointing Iraqi border commnaders

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Aliya Nusayif of the Iraqiya Hurra Coalition accused Kuwait of “interfering in the process of appointing of the leaders of the Iraqi borders guards in order to force these leaders to help Kuwait at the border demarcation manner which is consistent with their interests at the expense of Iraq.”

She said, in a statement received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), Tuesday “Kuwait still pursues a policy of anesthesia with Iraq and misleading it by stating that it will help relief Iraq from the UN Charter’s Chapter VII, but Kuwait has achieved all its goals and interests on the expenses of Iraq after 2003.”

She added “Kuwait went too far to the extent that it interfered even in the selection of the commander of Iraqi border guards whom Kuwait believes that they will help it in the demarcation of the border with Iraq.”

She clarified that “At the end, Kuwait will not relief Iraq from UN sanctions, especially, since it got everything from Iraq and no longer see the need to inform the United Nations of its wish to end the UN control on Iraq,” noting that “They, in fact, want to keep Iraq under Chapter VII.” / End/
