Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament lifted its Wednesday session that was headed by the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and attended by 178 MPs.

A statement by the media office of the parliament received by IraqiNews.com cited “Wednesday session witnessed the first reading of the proposal of Amendment of Provincial Councils Elections,” noting that “The preliminary report over the conditions of the detentions and prisons was discussed in the session.”

A parliamentary source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Tuesday “The parliament lifted its regular session headed by the Parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, till next Thursday after voting on some of the law drafts included in the agenda of its session.”
