PM meets delegation from CMC

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi stressed on Monday necessity of keeping independency of the Independent Commissions from any interferences in their management or decisions.

A statement by Abadi’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Monday cited “Abadi received in his office on Monday a delegation from the Communication and Media Commission,” noting that “The meeting focused on discussing several issues related to performance of the CMC and its future projects.”

Abadi addressed the CMC delegation saying “I am among those who defend the right of expressing opinion and freedom of media.” /End/
