Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, headed by the President, Jalal Talabani, attributed the ongoing political crises in Iraq to “The imbalance in running the state, stressing its support to the demands of the demonstrations.

A statement by the PUK cited on Tuesday “The crises are a result of the lame management for the state, pointing out “We are with the constitutional demands of the demonstrators especially those related to correcting the governance and improving services.”

The statement also dealt with the situation in the disputed areas by describing it as “serious”, noting that “The non-application of the article 140 of the Iraqi constitution led to escalate the unrest in those disputed areas besides the bad performance of the Government and the deployment of the federal military forces in those areas.” The statement concluded.
