Tahir urges MPs to adhere to attending parliament sessions

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The independent MP, Abdul Khudhur Tahir, urged MPs to adhere to attending parliament sessions.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Unfortunately, Some MPs do not attend some session as if they are indifferent,” noting that “Some political leaders think themselves above all.”

“All MPs whether they are leaders of blocs or not are equal in this regard as they should remember that they have a moral and national responsibility to attend the parliament sessions,” he stressed.

“Absence from the regular session is a normal issue in all the parliaments in the world especially if some MPs have excuses like accomplishing tasks, demands or visiting their provinces but this is not a justification for the long term absence,” he concluded.
