Talabani, Mustafa agree to normalize PUK, Taghyeer Movement relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi President Jalal Talabani agreed with the General Secretary for Taghyeer Movement, Nisherwan Mustafa, to normalize the relations between both parties.

A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan PUK cited “Talabani, while receiving Mustafa, in Sulaimaniya, agreed to normalize the relations between PUK and Taghyeer Movement as well as starting negotiations with other sides over patriotic issues.”

“The meeting also reviewed the recent political updates in Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the region,” the statement added, noting that “Talabani and Mustafa also discussed the issue of Kurdistan Region’s Constitution where both sides agreed to return the constitution draft to the Parliament of Kurdistan Region in order to amend it to suit the demands of all Kurdish sides and suit the political atmosphere in Kurdistan Region.”
