Talabani, PM of KR discuss political situation in Iraq, KR

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President, Jalal Talabani, discussed with the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, Nijirvan Barzani, the political situations in Iraq and KR in particular.

A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) received by IraqiNews.com cited “Talabani received Barzani on Thursday afternoon where they discussed the general situations in Iraq and KR.”

“The to sides emphasized developing the cooperation between the Kurdistani political sides and the necessity of unifying the Kurdish stances especially the strategic alliance between the PUK and the Kurdistani Democratic Party,” the statement added.

“For his part, Barzani appreciated Talabani’s role, wishing him the good healthy condition,” the statement concluded.
