Urgent – Oil & budget negotiations fail between Kurdistan Region & Central Government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The discussions between the delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Central Government over their pending files have failed.

Informed source reported to IraqiNews.com Monday “The Kurdish delegation adheres to its demands over exporting oil to Turkey and sending its revenues to the Kurdish treasury and rejected the conditions of the Central Government over exporting the oil through the SOMO Company and other points set earlier.”

“The Kurdish delegation ended its discussions and departed to Erbil after failure of the discussions,” the source added.

Two rounds of discussions were held on Monday between a delegation from the Central Government chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs Hussein al-Shahristani and a delegation from the Kurdistan RegionG headed by the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region Nijervan Barzani over ending disputes between Baghdad and Erbil over the 2014 General Budget and exporting oil from Kurdistan Region to Turkey.
