US denounces suicide attack of southern Baghdad

 

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The United States of America denounced the suicide bombing that killed and injured dozens of Iraqis who are fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant terrorists in southern Baghdad on last Wednesday.A statement from U.S. State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki said that the attack killed a number of anti-ISIL fighters who had gathered to receive their government salaries. The U.S. condemned the attack.“As Iraqis unite against ISIL and turn the tide on the battlefield,” Psaki said, “ISIL will continue to resort to such vicious and desperate acts as cowardly suicide attacks and other atrocities to try to maintain its reign of fear.”A suicide attack in Iraq on Wednesday left dozens of dead and injured Sahwa elements who fight the ISIL. /End/
