VIDEO: Iraqis celebrate Nouri al-Maliki’s departure from new government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A number of citizens of the capital Baghdad have expressed their joy for the departure of Nuri al-Maliki.

The published video clip shows a large group of people chanting and dancing in the streets, saying “goodbye Nuri al-Maliki”.

Earlier on Monday Iraq’s new President, Fuad Masum, appointed Haider Abadi to form a new government after a dispute over the nomination of Iraq’s Prime Minister which lasted for more than two weeks.
